“I shared things in that group that I had never shared with anyone,” she explains.
“It’s a small group of people which is nice. There’s different topics discussed, like mindfulness, setting boundaries, and how to live a healthy life. You get to know people and you’re comfortable around them. Everyone is in the same situation. There’s no judgement.”
“For a long time I thought there was something wrong with me. I kept asking myself why I couldn’t stop drinking.”
“It changed my life completely. I’m in control now.”
The substance use day treatment program offers a six-week community-based education and discussion group for people who are looking for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
