The Physician Office Integration (POI) service facilitates the quick and secure electronic delivery of Laboratory Results, Radiology Reports, and Health Record Transcribed Reports from Interior Health.
Providers can request activation for the POI service by completing and submitting the POI Activation Form. Please note that you must have an EMR and internet access to participate.
When your clinic has been activated, you will still continue to receive paper/faxed copies of the reports for approximately seven days, at which point we will stop the duplicate paper/fax delivery. If you do not require this transition period, you can request a stop to the paper/faxed reports sooner by sending us an email or by contacting the IH Service Desk (1-855-242-1300).

The Clinical Data eXchange is an IH-developed provincial electronic distribution service. Interior Health and Northern Health have collaborated to facilitate the electronic delivery of Health Authority Laboratory Results, Radiology Reports, and Health Record Transcribed Reports via CDX. This new service allows for the delivery and exchange of expanded types of clinical documents with the potential for richer clinical content and detail. CDX also facilitates the exchange of electronic referrals and consults between provider EMRs.
If you are interested in the enhanced delivery options from our CDX service, please contact your EMR vendor to ensure that your system supports CDX.
Providers can request activation for the CDX service by completing and submitting the CDX Activation Form. Please note that you must have an EMR that is CDX enabled, as well as internet access, to participate.
Once we have received and reviewed your form, we will activate CDX electronic delivery of Laboratory Results, Radiology Reports, and Health Record Transcribed Reports for your office/clinic. Activations can take 72 hours to complete.
