Approves, inspects and monitors drinking water supplies for compliance to regulatory requirements and prevents the spread of water-borne diseases. Services include issuing operating permits for waterworks systems, monitoring and auditing water systems for compliance to provincial and federal regulations, responding to complaints of poor water quality, issuing boil water advisories and alerting the public to water contaminants.
