Picture Archiving and Communications System

PACS is an enterprise wide system that manages and delivers images and information.

PACS, using computer-based imaging technology replaces film, and allows radiologists and physicians to view images simultaneously and access reports electronically.

In addition, PACS allows for archiving of diagnostic images so they are quickly accessible for review at any site within Interior Health, available at any time of day.

Interior Health PACS systems are:

  • McKesson Radiology PACS: Diagnostic Imaging
  • McKesson Cardiology PACS: Echocardiography for all of IH, as well as the KGH Heart Catheterization Lab

As a step towards reconciliation, Interior Health acknowledges the land that we live, work, and play on as the traditional territories of the Dakelh Dene, Ktunaxa, Nlaka’pamux, Secwepemc, St’at’imc, Syilx and Tsilhqot’in peoples. It is with humility that we continue to strengthen our relationships with the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit peoples of the interior.
