The Dr. FW Green Memorial Home is a 60 bed facility which is built on three levels, including a ground floor access basement. ​

Philosophy of Care:

Our resident-centred philosophy is designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level and provide the best quality of life possible.​

Palliative care and end-of-life services, including  eligibility assessment and the provision of medical assistance in dying (MAiD), are available at this care home.

Type of Accommodation:

49 residential beds. We house all levels of complex care which includes 24 hour nursing and personal care, medication supervision and administration, meals, laundry services. All resident rooms have private washrooms.


Monthly rate is up to 80 per cent of client’s after tax income, with minimum and maximum rates set by the Ministry of Health Services. More information. ​

Special Recreation:

In-house a variety of programs are offered.  They include outings, community activities, exercises, music, etc.  Transportation for outings is provided by our bus.​


Front parking lot and loading zone.  Wheelchair accessible.  Elevator.​

Motorized Scooter Policy:

Must be assessed by Occupational Therapist for safety reasons.​

Pet Policy:

Visiting pets must be assessed by Team Leader for safety reasons.​

Smoking Policy:

Smoke Free Environment. Interior Health Policy Residents may smoke only outside the building in the designated area only. Smoking may be restricted by nursing staff.​

Safety & Security:

Many of the doors in our home are on a coded/swipe card security system, in order to prevent residents from leaving the building unaccompanied. There is a call bell system in all rooms and individual bed alarms where necessary.​

Neighbourhood Community Amenities:

Bus service, Handi-Dart, Taxi Service to malls, shopping.​

Facility Restrictions:

Residents are not permitted to keep medication in their rooms.  All drugs must be purchased through the contracted pharmacy.  Some restrictions on outside food brought into facility.​
