Access:
Access to subsidized assisted living residences is through a Home Health assessment. For more information on subsidized units, contact the Home Health office nearest you. Please do not contact the Operator directly regarding subsidized units. Information on private pay units is available through the Office of the Assisted Living Registrar.
Building Amenities: Fireside lounge, library with computer, chapel, hair salon, country kitchen, vending machines, enclosed garden.

Philosophy of Care: The Social Integrated Model of Care is designed to acknowledge each Tenant as an individual and supports the creation of partnerships to assist and support the highest, safest quality of life possible. Registered prescribe services include assistance with activities of daily living and medication distribution, administering or monitoring.
Type of Accommodation: 24 one bedroom suites and 2 two bedroom suites with mini fridge and microwave and walk in shower. All one bedroom suites are designated for assisted living and are publicly subsidized. The two bedroom suites are designated for supportive housing.
Cost:
The monthly charge for publicly subsidized Assisted Living is based on income. Residents pay 70% of their monthly after-tax income, up to a maximum amount. Persons receiving disability benefits from the Ministry of Housing and Social Development pay a fixed rate. This charge is paid monthly to the Assisted Living Operator along with a small monthly BC Hydro surcharge.
Special Recreation: Planned monthly calendar of events. Bus for scheduled outings.
Accessibility: Building wheelchair accessible.
Motorized Scooter Policy: Electric wheelchairs permitted in the building. Scooters for outside use and stored in scooter garage. Limited scooter storage available.

Smoking Policy:
Building is nonsmoking. Designated outside smoking area.​
Safety & Security: Exterior doors continuously locked (key pad entrance system). Pendant system for requesting emergency response.
Neighbourhood Community Amenities: Heritage Square is centrally located and close to all downtown amenities. We are just a short walk or ride away from shopping, recreation and medical facilities, the library, Performing Arts Centre, and peaceful Polson Park.
Facility Restrictions: Tenants must meet requirements for Assisted Living as established by the Assisted Living Registrar.
