Mt. Cartier Court located in beautiful Revelstoke offers long-term care living for individuals with complex health needs. Our mission is to offer the very best in care services, quality of life, and to respect each individual’s preferences. We offer a range of services provided by caring professionals in a home-like environment. We have a complement of health professionals including: occupational therapist, physiotherapist, pharmacist, dietician, diabetes educator, as well as excellent physician support. Nursing staff is on duty on a 24-hour basis.

We have 44 private rooms over three distinct wings or what we call “cottages.”  Each cottage has a warmly decorated living room with comfortable seating, all have large new televisions, and two have pianos. The decorations throughout the cottages change with each holiday and new season. Our building is relatively new and very well kept. We opened our doors to the community in 2006.

With an acute care hospital adjacent to Mt. Cartier Court, residents and families are assured that immediate medical needs can be attended to.

Access:

Access to subsidized long-term care is through an assessment by Interior Health staff. For more information on subsidized long-term care services, contact the Home Health office nearest you.​

Building Amenities: Large spacious wheel chair accessible rooms with ensuite.  All cottages have large kitchen, dining area, TV area, sitting areas and access to outdoor gardens that are gated for safety.

We have 44 private rooms over three distinct wings or what we call “cottages”.  Each cottage has its own bathing spa room with specialized bathtubs for mobility challenged, a warmly decorated living room with comfortable seating, all have large new televisions, and two have pianos. The decorations throughout the cottages change with each holiday and new season. Our building is relatively new and very well kept. We opened our doors to the community in 2006.

Cost:

Monthly rate is up to 80 per cent of client’s after tax income, with minimum and maximum rates set by the Ministry of Health Services. More information.​

Special Recreation:

Special day trip outings, multi-denominational worship, music program volunteers, PALs volunteers, seasonal parties involving family, plus we celebrate each resident’s birthday with a cake and party.

Safety & Security: All exterior doors are alarmed, have magnetic locks and keypad access. All courtyards have magnetic locks and keypads on gates. Fire alarm system, Vocera system.

Located in a beautiful forested neighbourhood. Facility attached to Queen Victoria Hospital.  Limited Handidart service, local attractions, city special events, national parks, city transit, local schools, support of local businesses and restaurants.

Laundry service, medical supplies & devices (walkers & wheelchairs for occasional use), housekeeping, pastoral services, social and recreational programs, medication administration, and assistance with routine daily self care activities.
