A complex care facility built in 1985.  TLM is a two story building with peripheral fencing and coded gates.  First floor has 41 private rooms, a small dining room for private family gatherings as well as access to two patios.  The second floor has 41 private rooms and access to a deck that overlooks the back gardens and fountain.  Each floor has a common dining/sitting area, kitchenette for resident use and an activity room.  The fenced grounds are perfect for those who like to walk, relax outside or participate in gardening.

Building Amenities: Hairdresser, bathing rooms, central dining rooms, living and activity areas, landscaped grounds/gardens, walkways, patios, 2nd floor balcony, personal laundry services and a tuck shop.

Philosophy of Care:

Our resident-centred philosophy is designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level and provide the best quality of life possible.

Palliative care and end-of-life services, including  eligibility assessment and the provision of medical assistance in dying (MAiD), are available at this care home.

Type of Accommodation: 82 beds (80 residential and 2 respite).  All private rooms.

Monthly rate is up to 80 per cent of client’s after tax income, with minimum and maximum rates set by the Ministry of Health Services. More information.​

Special Recreation: Programs are offered in different formats such as large groups, small groups and one to one interactions.  These programs include baking, gardening, fitness and movement, community outings by bus, crafts, cards and games, bingo, music and a variety of social events.  Recognition of holidays, cultural traditions and special theme events are also part of our programming.  Visits from some community clubs, preschools and elementary schools.  Families and friends are welcomed and encouraged to participate in many of the programs.
Accessibility: Level entry for wheelchairs and other mobility aids.  Eligibility and placement is coordinated through Home and Community Care.
Motorized Scooter Policy: No motorized scooters to be kept on site for residents; however, visitors are able to access the facility on a scooter if necessary.

Safety & Security: Locked gates with numbered keypads at the grounds exits.  Locked stairwells with numbered keypads.  Wander guard system, Chubb security, nurse to nurse call system, bed/wheelchair alarms and keypad entry.
Neighbourhood Community Amenities: Located near Parkinson Recreation Center and Orchard Park Mall.  Restaurants within walking distance.
Facility Restrictions: If a resident has acute needs, they are transferred to Kelowna General Hospital.
Other Amenities:

Two meeting rooms available:  a boardroom in the basement and a small conference room on first floor.​
