Be prepared before, during and after an earthquake

Emergency and/or important info

In Canada, the coast of British Columbia is the region most at risk from a major earthquake. However, seismicity data demonstrates that our Interior Health region does also experience earthquakes.

Surviving an earthquake and reducing its health impact requires preparation, planning, and practice.

Before During After

Prepare an emergency plan and emergency kit for your family and household.

Survive during an earthquake.

If an earthquake strikes your community, you might not have access to food, water, and electricity for days or even weeks

Water Quality:

Contact your water supplier for information on any impact on the quality of drinking water.

Public notifications will be issued if there is some level of risk associated with drinking water use.
