2011

Interior Health completed the master site plan to guide future development at Royal Inland Hospital.

2012


July:
The province of British Columbia approved the Clinical Services Building.

2014

February: Bird Construction Inc. announced as the preferred proponent to design and build the Clinical Services Building.

May: Construction began on Clinical Services Building.

2016


August:
Clinical Services Building officially opened for patients.

2017

February: The province of British Columbia approved the Royal Inland Hospital Patient Care Tower Project. 

May: Interior Health released the Request for Qualifications (RFQ), seeking qualified teams interested in taking on the Patient Care Tower Project.

2018


Fall:
Construction is expected to begin on
Phase I of the Patient Care Tower Project.

2022

The patient care tower is expected to open for patients.

Phase II renovations expected to begin.

2024


Phase II renovations expected to be completed.
