​Interior Health works in collaboration with variety of partners working together to provide outstanding, sustainable quality care to our seniors. Our partners include physicians, health care providers, volunteers, other health organizations, government, community groups and non-profits, educational institutions, as well as clients and their families or supports. Through these partnerships, working in a coordinated way across the system, we continue to provide specialized programs, services and resources designed to meet the needs of seniors.

Complex Behaviour Referrals

IH Residential Regional Knowledge Coordinators provide consultations for residents with behaviours associated with complex and challenging mental health, dementia or other neurological conditions. To make a referral, submit a Behaviour Referral Form.

Phased Dementia Pathway

The IH phased dementia pathway was created to identify, inform and implement practices aimed at addressing the areas of concern and need as identified by persons with dementia, their caregivers and clinicians.

Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI)

The RAI-MDS 2.0 is an electronic tool which guides the clinician in gathering resident specific information.

Seniors Advocate BC

The Office of the Seniors Advocate monitors and analyzes seniors’ services and issues in B.C., and makes recommendations to government and service providers to address systemic issues.
