Join us for a locum or join us in practice!

We are 3 established ObGynes in a modern office located within the 31 bed hospital. We serve a catchment area of ~55,000. We would share 1 in 4 call and we have 16 shared operating days per month so we are able to provide our patients with very timely surgery. It is busy, but not harried, and never boring. We use EMR Accuro. Our receptionist is friendly, efficient, and loved by our patients. Come for a locum and check us out!

The community is surprisingly diverse, including a local First Nations culture that enriches us all. Birth rates are starting to go up. Family Doctors attend normal deliveries. We do consulting obstetrics only, meaning Call is usually not onerous: You will take call from home and will sleep most nights, thanks to our excellent GPs and ER Doctors.

Specialist services in Williams Lake include Pediatrics, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Emergency Physicians, Anaesthesia, and a knowledgeable and experienced group of full service Family Doctors. We have visiting specialists in Ophthalmology, Rheumatology, and Cardiology – we are rural but not isolated.

We are an academic centre for Family Practice, General Surgery, and ObGyne. Medical students, Nursing Students and Residents ensure we’re up to date. For the last 2 years we’ve had Midwifery students from the University of British Columbia, and, our local Thompson River University campus trains RNs and Nurse Practitioners.

We have 4 distinct seasons. Being in the southern third of the province, the summers are hot and winters are snowy but not frigid. We can claim 314 sunny days each year, one of the sunniest places in the province.

Scenery can be stunning, housing prices are reasonable, and office costs are low. Rural incentives and Level 1 MOCAP funded Call, are an added bonus.

We’re looking for a partner to share in a flexible work schedule, allowing for blocks of time off for travel or family, part time or full time by choice or circumstance, in a group committed to working together in a truly supportive way. We would love to tell you or show you the incredible opportunity here, so please enquire. Our office number is 250-392-1137.
