Take an active role in your own health and well-being

Staying informed about your illness or condition, and knowing what healthy lifestyle choices you can make, is an important way to take charge of your health. Interior Health encourages residents of the communities we serve to take an active role in their own health and well-being.

In this section you will find information on conditions and diseases, tips on making informed choices about your health and information for specific population groups including: infants and children; youth; adults and seniors; and Aboriginal people.

As a step towards reconciliation, Interior Health acknowledges the land that we live, work, and play on as the traditional territories of the Dakelh Dene, Ktunaxa, Nlaka’pamux, Secwepemc, St’at’imc, Syilx and Tsilhqot’in peoples. It is with humility that we continue to strengthen our relationships with the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit peoples of the interior.
