Population Health Profiles
View health-care data for the Interior Region, including population dynamics, health system performance, home and community care and health behaviour.
Population/local health area & facility profiles
Population health profiles provide a picture of health for residents of the Interior Health region. They are divided by health authority, Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA), and Local Health Area (LHA) presenting information pertaining to:
-
Population dynamics (statistics related to birth, migration and aging populations within the interior health region)
-
Health system performance
-
Home and community care
-
Health behaviour
The data comes from a variety of sources including the BC Vital Statistics Agency, the BC Ministry of Health's Health Data Warehouse, BC Stats, Statistics Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI).
The individual profiles are available in the list below.
Facility profiles
The Facility Profiles contain information for the acute care hospitals within Interior Health. The reports include three most recent years of data for the following areas of acute care:
- Inpatient
- Surgical Day Care
- Emergency Department
Profiles for Interior Health hospitals overall and for individual hospitals are found in the list below.
BC Community Health Profiles
The BC Community Health Profiles provide local data for use by health authorities and local governments to support collaborative community health planning. They offer an introduction to community health data and present this data at the lowest geographic level available (census sub-division or local health area level, whenever possible), but are not meant to replace the comprehensive local health area profiles that are developed by Interior Health.
