This external IH website provides a high-level overview of Interior Health (IH). It equips you with basic knowledge about our region, resources, policies, key contacts, etc.

Credentialing & Privileging: Obtain your IH medical staff privileges
- Learn about the Credentialing & Privileging application process
- Each physician, midwife, dentist and nurse practitioner must receive an appointment to the IH medical staff before practicing in our facilities.
- You can submit your online appointment or reappointment application through AppCentral.
- Contact your medical administrative assistant (MAA) or site’s Credentialing & Privileging contact for any assistance.
E-Access & Multifactor Authorization (MFA)
- The Intranet (IH internal platforms) is hosted on Sharepoint Online, this includes the InsideNet and the Medical Staff Hub.
- Your IH email (or mnemonic) and password are required for remote access to the IH network of information and resources.
- To safeguard information, confidentiality and to comply with IH Privacy/Security policies, your IH email account should be used for ALL work-related communications. Remember to check your inbox regularly for important Medical Staff resources and updates.

STEP 1: Submit your signed offer letter
STEP 2: Submit access request (IH mnemonic and email address)
- Monitor your emails (and Junk mail folder) for an automated email from DoNotReply@interiorhealth.ca
- Follow the instructions on how to e-sign and submit the external user agreement.
- Don’t forget to click on “Accept” at the bottom of the page.
STEP 3: Set up your password!
- Your access will be processed within 5 business days (often sooner). Monitor your email for confirmation of access (within 5 business days of submitting your signed user agreement.
- Follow instructions to set up password.
STEP 4: Register for MFA (Multi-factor Authentication) for remote access.
Be cyber safe!
Access information and technology resources securely from outside of the IH network. Registration instructions, FAQ’s and support are available, just follow the link provided.
Microsoft Authenticator (MA) is an app needed for external access to cloud-based applications at IH, such as Microsoft Teams, and all SharePoint sites including InsideNet and the Medical Staff Hub.
STEP 5: Set up Outlook on your mobile device (IH Email/Calendar)

iOS Users:
- Download / Register Microsoft Autenticator
- Download Microsoft Outlook iOS app
- Add Interior Health email account to the Microsoft Outlook iOS app
- Authenticate using Microsoft Authenticator
- Access Interior Health email account using the Microsoft Outlook iOS app
Android Users:
(Note - IH does not support Android devices)
- Download / Register Microsoft Authenticator
- Download Microsoft Outlook for Android app
- Add Interior Health email account to the Microsoft Outlook Android app
- Authenticate using Microsoft Authenticator
- Access Interior Health email account using the Outlook for Android app
STEP 6: Install Interior Health GO
Interior Health GO is a remote desktop solution that allows access to an Interior Health virtual workstation. GO includes a selection of the most common applications that can be found on any standard workstation found at Interior Health.
STEP 7: Install the SharePoint app on your mobile device
Downloading the app to your devices allows you in time access to internal SharePoint sites.
TIP: If you don’t log out of the app, you won’t have to go through MFA each time you access the sites.

- Please note that online learning modules and additional preparation may be required before your first day, depending on your site's requirements. Need assistance? Your Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA) can provide guidance and support.
- Be sure that you have access to all necessary computer programs before your first day. Contact the Service Desk (1-855-242-1300) or inform your MAA of any issues.

Up to Date is a clinical decision support tool covering more than 11,800 topics in 25 specialties and containing over 6,500 drug monographs endorsed by Interior Health Pharmacy and is available without registration while logged in on the Interior Health network.
If you register with >> UpToDate while on the IH network, you can use your login information (user ID and password) to access UpToDate on your personal device(s), including the use of the mobile app.
