This external IH website provides a high-level overview of Interior Health (IH). It equips you with basic knowledge about our region, resources, policies, key contacts, etc. The link to the “Information for Medical Staff” content is included in the email sent by Medical Administration upon receipt of your signed offer letter.
The internal Medical Staff [IH] Hub provides information and resources focused on the specific needs of IH Medical Staff. The structure and content of this site was directly informed by medical staff through numerous engagement activities facilitated by the members of the Physician Engagement team.
*IH credentials are required to access this internal SharePoint teamsite.
Each physician, midwife, dentist and nurse practitioner must receive an appointment to the IH medical staff before practicing in our facilities.
You can submit your online appointment or reappointment application through AppCentral. Contact your medical administrative assistant (MAA) or site’s Credentialing & Privileging contact for any assistance.
Learn more about the Credentialing & Privileging application process
It is important to note that the policies and procedures of Interior Health apply to both staff and medical staff (i.e., physicians, dentists, midwives, and nurse practitioners). Please take some time to become familiar with the expectations related to working within our IH facilities.
Approximately 14 days before your start date, you will receive an email from your site’s Credentialing & Privileging contact, including your mnemonic and instructions to set up your Interior Health network access.
Your mnemonic and password allow access to your IH Outlook email address. For information confidentiality purposes, please use this address for all work-related communications.
Remember to check your inbox regularly for important Medical Staff resources and updates.
Your mnemonic and password are essential to access the IH computer network and applications.
You will need to contact the Service Desk (1-855-242-1300) to set up your password. An agent will verify your identity with your Medical Service Plan (MSP) number and a second piece of identification.
If your MSP number is not yet available, don't hesitate to contact your site Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA) for assistance.
The e-Access page guides you through technology programs that are essential for your day-to-day practice at IH, such as Physician Invoice Portal (PIP), Meditech, MicrobloggingMD, etc.
In addition, you may need to use the technology resources below:
The following technology resources require IH network access:
Are you interested in accessing technology resources outside of the IH network? Please follow the security processes below to help us protect the private and confidential information in our care.
Please note: You need to log into the Interior Health network to start these processes. Please be sure to follow all set-up instructions closely.
If you require assistance with set-up, please reach out to the Service Desk (1-855-242-1300).

Due to the geographical and cultural diversity of the Interior region, each IH site is uniquely different. The following Site-specific resource pages were developed to help you navigate your specific workplace and community.
Please note that the site pages are part of the internal Medical Staff [IH] Hub; therefore, access will require an IH mnemonic and password and accessing internal IH platforms also requires multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Connect with the medical administrative assistant (MAA) at your site to discuss any edits or additions to the resources page.
