When you connect with Healthy From The Start, you will speak to a public health nurse, receive prenatal information, have an opportunity to ask questions and get connected to resources in your community. Sign up with our confidential e-form or call our toll free number at 1-855-868-7710 as early in your pregnancy as possible.

SmartParent is a free* Canadian prenatal and parenting support program that provides trustworthy information via text messaging to help guide you through your pregnancy and your baby’s first year of life.
Sign up online at SmartParent Canada or from your cell phone by texting “SmartParent” to 12323.
- Receive evidence-based resources and tips tailored to each week of your pregnancy and your baby’s first year of life!
- Messages suggest topics to discuss with your healthcare provider and links to resources and services available online and in your community.
- SmartParent is endorsed by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) and the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS).
