Find mental health and substance use clinical tools and resources for medical staff, and health-care and community providers to support people in your care.
We provide many mental health and substance use services. We strive to ensure our services are welcoming to all people, gender identities, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds.
Our goal is to provide person centered, recovery oriented, trauma informed & culturally safe services based on harm reduction principles.
The following resources will help you navigate Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) services provided by Interior Health and partner agencies.
Mental illness can be treated. If you are caring for someone who is struggling with mental health concerns, help is available:

If you are helping someone who needs a more intensive treatment setting than programs such as community-based Substance Use Services, you can refer them to bed-based services.
- Bed-Based Withdrawal Management Services provide medically supported services through acute stages of withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs in an inpatient setting
- Transition & Stabilization Services provide a safe transition space and stable place when vital support following withdrawal management is needed
- Bed-Based Treatment Services provide a structured, live-in program where treatment goals are supported through assessment, evidence-based treatment and skill building
- Support Recovery Services provide a safe, supportive, time-limited substance-free live-in environment
