Committed to quality care

Interior Health is committed to the journey towards its vision: To set new standards of excellence in the delivery of health services in the Province of British Columbia.

Interior Health is proud of the quality of care it provides, which is assessed and validated though the Accreditation Canada process.

How does accreditation work?

Interior Health participates in a continuous accreditation process as a means to embed quality improvement and patient safety into ongoing strategic planning and operations.

Interior Health teams conduct a self-assessment to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. Then, expert national surveyors conduct an external assessment to validate the quality of care provided to patients, clients, and residents.

For more information on the Accreditation process, visit the Accreditation Canada site.

As a step towards reconciliation, Interior Health acknowledges the land that we live, work, and play on as the traditional territories of the Dakelh Dene, Ktunaxa, Nlaka’pamux, Secwepemc, St’at’imc, Syilx and Tsilhqot’in peoples. It is with humility that we continue to strengthen our relationships with the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit peoples of the interior.
