The way each child grows is unique

A common question from parents is, “Is my child growing well?”.  All babies and toddlers - big, small, or in between - have a pattern of growth that is right for them.

Understanding your child's growth

During child health clinics and other public health services, your child’s growth will be monitored and your Public Health Nurse will help you understand and support your child’s growth, including healthy lifestyle and nutrition information. If you have any concerns about your child’s growth, be sure to discuss them with your Public Health Nurse or other health care provider.

As a step towards reconciliation, Interior Health acknowledges the land that we live, work, and play on as the traditional territories of the Dakelh Dene, Ktunaxa, Nlaka’pamux, Secwepemc, St’at’imc, Syilx and Tsilhqot’in peoples. It is with humility that we continue to strengthen our relationships with the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit peoples of the interior.
