COVID-19: New public health orders start Dec. 23

December 22, 2021

Additional public health measures have been put in place to help further protect people and our health-care system, as B.C. experiences a rapid and concerning increase in COVID-19 cases.

Strengthened measures include:

  • New public health orders effective December 22, 2021 at 11:59PM to January 18, 2022 at 11:59PM
  • Expanded use of rapid tests
  • Accelerated roll-out of boosters for general population from January to March 2022
  • Postponing non-urgent scheduled surgeries starting January 4, 2022 to help manage pressure on acute care facilities

As we have for the last two years, we need to keep working together to protect our loved ones and help slow the spread of COVID-19.
