Determining if you’re a close contact
If you are a close contact, you do not need to go for a test or self isolate. You should monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 even if you are fully vaccinated or had COVID-19 in the last 90 days.
Whether notified of a COVID-19 exposure or not, everyone should routinely monitor symptoms of COVID-19 and stay home if you feel unwell or develop symptoms.
Learn more about close contacts
If you do develop symptoms as a close contact and can manage your symptoms and safely self-isolate at home, you do not need to go for a test. Check our testing information page for when you should get a test.
