Respiratory Illness Immunizations
Respiratory illnesses are serious and contagious infections. Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated every year!
Respiratory season
Respiratory season typically runs from December through April, around what is known as flu season. Information about how to schedule immunizations can be found on our Get Immunized page.
Vaccines for respiratory illnesses save lives and prevent illness by protecting individuals and communities for the spread of disease. Immunizations are safe and easy to get.
An appointment is required for each person visiting an IH site like a public health unit to receive their influenza and COVID-19 immunization. Community pharmacies are the best option for most people 12 years of age and older seeking influenza and COVID-19 immunizations.
Refer to the trusted sources noted below for more information about the disease and approved vaccine(s).
