About Kelowna Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC)

The Kelowna Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) provides team-based care for non-emergency health concerns to individuals in Kelowna who require same-day attention.

Care is available for concerns such as:

  • Minor injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Infections
  • Less serious child illness and injury
  • High fever
  • Cuts, wounds or skin conditions.

If you do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, or you are unable to get an appointment with your care provider that day, you can visit the UPCC. A health-care team is available to provide care for your health issues.

You may see one or more of the following health professionals depending on your care needs:

  • Family physician
  • Nurse practitioner
  • Registered nurse
  • Social worker
  • Physiotherapist
  • Mental health and substance use clinicians

UPCC patients are seen based on urgency, not on a first come first served basis. The UPCC does not book appointments. To contact a registered nurse for health advice, call 8-1-1.
