Interior Health’s priority is to ensure timely and equitable access for laboratory collection services for both the community and acute care patients.

Outpatient laboratory services will continue to be available at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital for patients requiring urgent services related to acute procedures (e.g. cancer, renal and pre-surgical patients) Health-care providers with patients requiring urgent outpatient laboratory services can direct these patients to the hospital for this testing.
