Interior Health’s board of directors has extended the temporary appointment of an administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of Summerland Seniors Village in Summerland to Jan. 15, 2021.

Interior Health is working closely with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, the City of Penticton and the BC Wildfire Service to support people affected by the Mount Christie wildfire.

Recent testing of individuals has allowed Interior Health (IH) to identify an additional date for people who may have been at the Cactus Club on Water Street and potentially exposed to COVID-19.

As part of the ongoing investigations, six cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed among employees at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). IH’s investigation indicates these cases are connected to the cluster of cases in the community.

Interior Health is pleased to confirm that outreach ophthalmology clinic services at Kootenay Lake Hospital will start on July 15, 2020.
