Temporary changes to public access at Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre

People visiting Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre (LIH) are advised of temporary changes to Emergency Department (ED) access beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, for approximately three weeks.

These temporary access changes are necessary as the ED undergoes important health and safety infrastructure upgrades.

During this time, public access to the ED will be as follows:

  • From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Access the ED though the Home Health and Mental Health entrance located at the corner of 9th Avenue and Murray Street.
  • From 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.: Access the ED through the main hospital entrance. Please use the after-hours phone as usual and staff will provide further direction.

These changes also apply to access for family and friends visiting patients admitted to the hospital.

Parking is not affected by these upgrades and remains available on both sides of the building and along the street.

There is no change to access to laboratory and x-ray services. Please continue to access through the main entrance.

Interior Health would like to thank patients, visitors and staff for their understanding as these improvements are completed.
