Merritt and area residents are advised that emergency services will be available at Nicola Valley Hospital from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, July 19, 2026 as staff coverage has been secured.
A public service announcement (PSA) was issued this morning announcing the service interruption from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. This PSA has now been rescinded.
People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e., chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
