Interior Health provides both medication (medical) and procedural (surgical) abortion services. These services are offered in safe, private and non-judgmental spaces.

    • Medication up to 10 weeks; Procedural (surgical) services will be referred locally by STEPS
    • Virtual or Telephone Appointments:
      Please contact the clinic to inquire about virtual or telephone appointments. The service is available remotely, which may allow you to access care even if you live outside the Kamloops area.
  • Kelowna: Outreach Urban Health Primary Care Clinic 250-868-2230
    • Medication (Medical) up to 9 weeks
    • Services provided to local patients who do not have a primary care provider on a limited, first-come first-serve basis
  • Kelowna: Kelowna Women’s Services Clinic (Kelowna General Hospital) 250-980-1399
    • Procedural up to 13 weeks and 6 days
    • Done under conscious sedation
  • Nelson: West Kootenay Family Planning Services 250-505-3885
    • Medication for up to 10 weeks. (can be done virtually)
    • Procedural up to 11 weeks and six days
