Midway Health Unit

Home and Community Care physical and occupational therapists provide in-home assessments, consultations, treatment and education to clients and their families.   Rehabilitaton therapists help clients restore, improve or maintain physical capabilities and ensure the home environment is organized to make daily tasks more manageable. Services include teaching exercises to help improve muscle strength, balance and coordination; training in the use of mobility devices like walkers and crtuches; or recommending modifications to make a home accessible and safe. Therapists also provide information about acquiring or using aids to personal care, such as bath seats, grab bars or adaptive devices as well as equipment such as scooters, wheelchairs and lifts.   Services may not be available in your community, please contact yourlocal Home and Community Care office.
