Regulates the source, storage, handling, preparation and transportation of food intended for public consumption. Services include issuing inspection and licensing of food service establishments, responding to public complaints concerning suspected illness derived from consumption of food products, facilitating emergency food recalls, enforcing food control legislation and promoting food safety courses. ​
