Interpretation or written translation to assist you

Spoken language interpreters

We are committed to ensuring that you - our patients, clients and residents - understand your health issues, how we can help you, and what you need to do to maintain your health after you leave our service.

Spoken Language Interpreters are available to help with communication between staff and patients who have limited English. In most cases the interpreter services are provided by phone, thus making this process as private as possible.

As these interpreters are contacted by IH staff only, please speak to a member of your care team to request this service.

As a step towards reconciliation, Interior Health acknowledges the land that we live, work, and play on as the traditional territories of the Dakelh Dene, Ktunaxa, Nlaka’pamux, Secwepemc, St’at’imc, Syilx and Tsilhqot’in peoples. It is with humility that we continue to strengthen our relationships with the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit peoples of the interior.
