The Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area. Located in Clearwater, North of Kamloops, the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient and 24 hour emergency. Outpatient hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and visiting hours are 2-8 p.m. daily.

This pilot project is being trialled in Lillooet Hospital, Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital (Clearwater), Arrow Lakes Hospital (Nakusp) and Princeton General Hospital.
