About Kamloops North Shore Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC)

The North Shore Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) provides team-based care for non-emergency health concerns to individuals within the North Shore and surrounding communities who require same-day attention.

If you have a health emergency that requires immediate care, call 911 or present at the nearest emergency department.

Care is available for concerns such as:

  • Minor injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Infections
  • Less serious child illness and injury
  • High fever

  • Family physician (FP)
  • Nurse practitioner (Np)
  • Registered nurse (RN)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Social Work
  • Mental health and substance use clinicians.

If you need to access health-care services at the UPCC, please note that:

  • The North Shore UPCC opens at 7:30 a.m. and prioritizes walk-in patients. Walk-in patients are seen based on urgency.
  • All patients are triaged by a registered nurse upon arrival to the UPCC and referred to the most appropriate health-care provider. Not all patients will receive care from a physician/nurse practitioner.
