Interior Health (IH) is once again supporting the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Wear Red Canada campaign, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about women’s heart and vascular health. Heart disease continues to be the leading cause of hospitalization and premature death for women in Canada, with women remaining under‑studied, under‑diagnosed, and under‑treated.
The Kelowna Heart Function Clinic at KGH will be hosting an information booth on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to share educational materials and support awareness activities. A registered nurse team member will staff the booth throughout the day, and women with lived experience are welcome to attend at any time during these hours.
