About Castlegar Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC)

The Castlegar UPCC is available to anyone in the Kootenay Boundary region. The centre is located in the Castlegar & District Community Health Centre.

Appointments must be booked in advance by phone at (250) 304-1289 for all services. The Castlegar UPCC takes appointments for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries such as:

  • Minor pain including sore throats, wound checks and dressings, and suture removal
  • Assessment and short-term treatment for joint pain and injuries that limit movements
  • Minor fevers, infections and upset stomach
  • Sexual health information and testing
  • Short-term mental health including anxiety and mild to moderate depression

Based on your care needs, care could be with a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, social worker, or physiotherapist.
