Health-care access supports continue for communities affected by the Bald Range wildfire

To continue supporting increased health-care needs in the Central Okanagan, including communities affected by the Bald Range wildfire, the West Kelowna Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) will continue opening early throughout the week. The West Kelowna UPCC will open at 9:30 a.m. daily through Friday, Aug. 14, 2026.

Residents requiring non-emergency care can also access services through IH's network of Urgent and Primary Care Centres. View current UPCC locations and hours here.

In the South Okanagan, patients requiring non-emergency care continue to have access to community-based services, including available walk-in clinic capacity in Penticton. In addition, providers from Summerland have made arrangements to work out of Penticton clinics, to help with continued access to primary care services for attached residents and evacuees affected by the Bald Range wildfire.

The Penticton Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) remains open during its regular hours:

• Monday to Friday: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Penticton UPCC is located at 437 Martin St., Suite 101.
