West Kelowna and Penticton UPCCs extending hours this weekend

To continue supporting increased health-care needs in Central and South Okanagan communities affected by the Bald Range wildfire, Interior Health (IH) is extending hours at the West Kelowna and Penticton Urgent and Primary Care Centres (UPCC) over the weekend.

The West Kelowna UPCC, located at 2484 Main St., will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, returning to its regular 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. hours on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026.

The Penticton UPCC, located at 437 Martin St., Suite 101, will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, returning to its regular from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. hours on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026.

Residents requiring non-emergency care can also access services through IH's network UPCCs located in communities across the region. View current UPCC locations and hours here.

UPCCs provide access to same-day, urgent, non-emergency health care. They often open evenings, weekends and statutory holidays and provide an alternative to hospital visit for patients who don’t require emergency care but may not have a primary care provider.

For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you're unsure what type of care you need, call HealthLink BC at 811 or visit www.HealthLinkBC.ca for free, 24/7 health advice from nurses, pharmacists, and dietitians.
