Oliver and area residents are advised that Interior Health has secured physician coverage tonight for the emergency department at South Okanagan General Hospital in Oliver. The emergency department will be open effective immediately.

People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e., chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.

Emergency services will be unavailable from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 to 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 13. Patients can access care at Penticton Regional Hospital during this time.
