Influenza (flu) vaccines
Influenza, often called the flu, is a serious and contagious respiratory infection that can lead to hospitalization, and death in severe cases.
Everybody should get vaccinated each year against the flu! The influenza vaccine saves lives and prevents illness by protecting individuals and communities from the spread of disease. Flu shots are safe and easy to get. Vaccines are typically available starting mid to late-October each year.
Anyone over the age of six months is eligible for free influenza vaccination. Visit the Immunize BC Influenza Clinic Locator to find an influenza immunization provider offering flu shot appointments near you.
