About Hillside Centre

Hillside Centre is an acute tertiary mental health facility located in Kamloops that provides care for persons aged 19 years and older. We provide highly specialized mental health services for individuals with complex and severe mental illnesses including neurocognitive disorders. We have a total of 47 beds comprised of 12 geriatric beds, 10 provincial neuropsychiatric beds and 25 adult beds.

We are a regional tertiary centre catering for patients referred from all over the Interior Health region and Northern Health. We also support the provincial UBC Neuropsychiatry program. Our goal is to provide a thorough assessment of our patients, help stabilize their symptoms and return them to their home communities. Our experienced team of physicians, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, recreational therapists and support workers treat our patients through a trauma-informed lens to provide the best possible outcome for them.
