Provides hemodialysis to patients close to their home. Community dialysis units greatly improve the ability to provide hemodialysis service to patients and minimize travel time. Patients who are medically suitable for community hemodialysis are referred by the Renal Program at either Kelowna General Hospital, Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, Penticton Regional Hospital or Royal Inland Hospital.
