West Kelowna Health Centre

Nursing Support Services (NSS) facilitates safe, consistent care in the home and school setting. NSS services are provided on a referral basis for children with specific health needs.

NSS services include:

  • Information and consultation for children with specific health complexities
  • Training and delegation of alternate caregivers in the school setting
  • Assessment for the provision of nursing respite hours in the home setting
  • At-home program assessment to support medical and respite benefits to families that qualify
  • School staff education on the administration of seizure rescue medication for specific students (by referral)
