Rachel Langevin knew from an early age that midwifery would shape her life’s work.

Inspired by the strength and openness required to care for families during one of life’s most transformative moments, she pursued a career in health care to support people as they welcome new life into their families.

Born and raised in Balfour, B.C. on the unceded and ancestral territories of the Sinixt, Ktunaxa and syilx peoples, Rachel’s connection to community has been central to both her personal life and professional journey.

After completing her education in El Paso, Texas, and Windsor, Ontario, she returned closer to home and has been living and working in Nelson for the past three years.
