Patients with infections requiring intravenous (IV) antibiotic treatment can now receive care at a new outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) clinic at Kelowna General Hospital. The clinic, which opened in February, is located on the second floor of the Dr. Walter Anderson Building at KGH and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On March 11, B.C.’s provincial health officer lifted some COVID-19 public health orders. Masks must be still be worn in health-care facilities.

Integrated Treatment Teams offer non-judgmental, discreet and flexible substance use treatment and support in your community. Treatment can include both counselling and medications, and can be provided online or in-person depending on your goals and preference.

We know that representation matters in health care. Women hold a number of key leadership roles at IH including CEO, members of the IH board of directors, and chiefs of staff. In addition, 1,091 of the physicians with privileges at IH health-care facilities are women.
But, even with women taking an increasing role in leadership, gender bias can still be an issue.
Interior Health’s next virtual career fair will be held March 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST. This fair will be aimed at all positions in Interior Health.
