Join our MOSAIC-2 Study on COVID-19 Boosters

Researchers at the Interior Health Clinical Research Department would like to better understand the safety and effectiveness if a different COVID-19 vaccine product is used for the third dose.

Data has shown the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines against severe disease up to six months after becoming fully vaccinated (two doses); however, there is evidence of decreasing antibody levels in some populations. The National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) and BC CDC have recommended a third booster dose in certain populations.

The MOSAIC-2 study will answer the following questions:

  • What is the effectiveness and length of immune response after receiving different COVID-19 vaccines for the first two doses?
  • What is the safety and effectiveness if different COVID-19 vaccine products are used for the third dose?

We are looking for:

  • Healthy individuals,
  • 30 years of age and older,
  • who have received and have a record of their first two doses of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine.

The study involves four clinic visits during a 12-month period at your preferred designated Interior Health vaccination centre at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) in Kamloops or Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH).

Total time commitment is approximately 2-4 hours. You will receive one telephone/email contact from us. We will ask questions about your health at each visit.
