Learn more about her journey with IH

I'm inspired daily by the wonderful people I work with and have grown as a person under their guidance.
Tracy is also inspired by the positive impact reported by IH clients after attending the clinic. She is proud of the part she plays in supporting the psychiatrists and the contributions of her colleagues to IH’s vision of “health and well-being for all.”

One of Tracy’s proudest moments at IH was overhearing a compliment on a training session she gave.
“I was providing online training to new users for Fusion – a transcription program – and wasn't sure I was an effective communicator. As I was closing the session, and after saying goodbye to the trainees, I overheard the supervisor in the group say: ‘Wow! She was really great!’ as they were disconnecting. I was extremely proud to hear this compliment they didn't even know I heard.”
Outside work, Tracy’s favourite activity is being out in nature, camping or just spending the day at a quiet lake in the woods. Every Friday night, she looks forward to getting together at her parents’ house with friends and family.
Tracy is a huge hot rod enthusiast! “I grew up going to car shows and weekend family events called ‘rod runs’ where people who had old cars gathered together and played games and showed off their beauties!” she explains. “My goal is to one day have my own hot rod; but in the meantime, I live vicariously through my dad with his 49 Merc.”

Tracy's We Are IH nomination
Tracy nominates Trenell Vonk, administrative services coordinator, Kelowna mental health to keep We Are IH going:
“I was lucky to have Trenell as a manager years ago. She consistently amazed me on how she managed to be so helpful when stretched between two communities and several staff. Despite no longer being my manager, she is still someone who I can reach out to when I need her to share some of her expert knowledge!” - Tracy McKelvey
