About Kamloops South Shore Urgent Primary Care and Learning Centre (UPCLC)

The Kamloops South Shore Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCLC) provides team-based care for non-emergency health concerns to individuals in Kamloops who require same-day attention.

Care is available for concerns such as:

  • Minor injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Infections
  • Less serious child illness and injury 
  • High fever
  • Cuts, wounds or skin conditions

If you do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, or you are unable to get an appointment with your care provider that day, you can visit the UPCLC. A health-care team is available to provide care for your health issues.

You may see one or more of the following health professionals depending on your care needs:

  • Family physician
  • Nurse practitioner
  • Registered nurse
  • Social worker
  • Physiotherapist
  • Mental health and substance use clinicians

People must book an appointment to be seen at the Kamloops South Shore UPCLC as it is does not accept walk-ins. Call 250-314-2256 to speak with our staff before being booked for an appointment. The UPCLC is open Monday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (including statutory holidays) and phone lines open daily at 10 a.m.

Yes. Parking is available in the Royal Inland Hospital parkade. Four spots are available on the bottom level for UPCLC patients.

How do you book a lab appointment?

For locations that have appointment booking as an option, you can book your lab test and ECG online.

If you're unable to book online, please call the Digital Health Support Desk at 1-844-870-4756. The support desk is open Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note the support desk is closed statutory holidays.
